The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 (PTF) announced that effective Monday, 4th April 2022, all in-bound passengers to Nigeria who have been fully vaccinated will no longer be required to undergo COVID-19 PCR test before boarding Nigeria inbound flights. Furthermore, fully vaccinated passengers arriving in Nigeria will not be required to carry out post arrival test whether PCR test or rapid antigen test upon arrival in Nigeria.
However, in-bound passengers who are yet to be fully vaccinated will be required to take a COVID-19 PCR test 48 hours before departure and undergo the days 2 and 7 post-arrival PCR tests at their own cost. The PTF indicated that children below 18years privilege.
Outbound travelers are encouraged to hold evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19 whilst complying with the required COVID-19 guidelines of their transit and/or destination country and familiarizing themselves with the travel requirements of their destination and/or transit before embarking on the journey.
Please note that all inbound passengers are required to register through the online Nigeria International Travel Portal (the Portal) before embarking on the journey to Nigeria.
